Jyl Kelley is an interdisciplinary artist who’s artwork incorporates photographs, experimental video, sculpture, and more recently, public murals. She has a special interest in exploring and visualizing nature. Her exhibition record includes national and international film festivals and gallery exhibitions.


Jyl Kelley joined the Department of Art & Design faculty at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire in 2008. She received a BFA in Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY in 1986, and an MFA in photography from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM in 2006. Before joining the College of Art and Design faculty at UWEC, Kelley was as Visiting Lecturer of photography at Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA. Kelley has also taught Photography courses and workshops at the University of New Mexico, Bloomsburg University, the University of California Santa Cruz, and the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, MA.
